We had a wonderful time. Nice place, close to everything. Weather was fantastic. Great views. Owners left plenty of things to do brochures

My brother and I have stayed in this cabin for our snowmobiling trip two years in a row 2015-16. The camp is very convenient to Moosehead lake and the snowmobile trails. The beach/dock is basically right across the street. This rental fits our needs very well. Modest accommodations at a reasonable price. If your looking for granite countertops and travertine tile this isn't to place for you. If you want easy lake access with a with a dock and beach close to Greenville. This may be for you. The descriptions and pictures are accurate. The other reviews are accurate as well. We will be back next year. Pray for snow!

I enjoyed my stay at the camp. It was everything they said it would be. It was nice and warm as it was very cold when I was there.
Great, economical rental for people with kids or pets. There was firewood available for use, a nice fireplace, and convenient location. We'll be back again.
I contacted Bill regarding a rental only to be temporarily disappointed to hear that it was unavailable for those dates (I had waited to the last minute). While I was looking into Plan B, I received a call from Bill saying that the time had been freed up! I jumped at the opportunity and the rest was easy--before, during and after our visit. We swam, hiked, boated, canoed, shopped, and drove around the beautiful Moosehead...

Nice place to stay. Good base for enjoying area around Moosehead Lake. Yes, we saw moose, enjoyed the town and hiked Big Moose Mountain. It was very helpful to have the canoe, the inflatable and the paddles and life vests available as part of the rental. Going out to see the three billion stars at night was very cool.

My wife and I rented the chalet from 6/16 to 6/21 and had a great time. For starters, this little A-frame is a lot more spacious than we had anticipated. There is a kitchen with dining area, large living room, and bedroom on the main floor. There is also a loft with additional beds, although because it was only my wife and I, and our dog, we never had the need to go up there so I can't comment on the loft area. There is also a large screen house in the backyard, so that you can enjoy some fresh air without getting eaten alive.
We enjoyed several close by hiking trails, and also enjoyed watching moose each evening. Moxie Falls is something you should definitely see, but it isn't much of a hike. The Wilson Falls trail was a little more of a hike, which actually takes you along a portion of the Appalachian Trail. Mount Kineo also has trails that are a little bit longer. If you are looking to spend the day hiking then you should go to Gulf Hagas, as Wilson and Mount Kineo are both just afternoon hikes.
This was a great place to enjoy a little getaway, and it was even better that we were able to bring our dog with us. Between the comfort of the chalet, the outdoor activities in the area, and the hospitality of Bill and Kathy, this really was a perfect little getaway to unwind, decompress, and relieve some stress!!

It is a very cute, quaint cottage. The views are amazing. We were unable to go in the water (to early in season) but it is right across from the chalet. I would recommend, the restaurants are very good. We will be returning in the future! Thanks Bill and Kathy for all of your help and everything else!
This was my 2nd time staying at Bill and Kathy's chalet and we loved every minute of it! They are such wonderful hosts, providing all kinds of "insider" information for the area. We hiked to a beautiful waterfall as well as the B-52 crash site, went for a gorgeous kayak on the lake, did a lot of driving around on the back roads and saw 7 moose in 3 days. We love that the cabin is dog-friendly -- not the easiest thing to find these days. Also loved hanging at the Stress-Free Moose and the Black Frog eating out on the deck. Greenville is the perfect place for a little get-away and we can't wait to get back!

A group of four of us rented the chalet for 3 nights at the end of February, 2014. The location was perfect, you can hop on the lake from here and be in downtown Greenville in just a couple of minutes! (at least on a snowmobile) The driveway is nice and we had no problem backing a 3-place trailer in. The house was clean and warm. Perfect place to crash after a long day of riding. To be honest, we were actually in the house very little other than to sleep and eat breakfast! The owner is engaged with great communication. Already booked another visit! If I were smart I would give this place a horrible rating so I could keep it all to myself..

We had a great stay at the Moosehead Chalet in Greenville. The chalet is cozy and had everything we wanted. The fireplace was perfect and the lake was frozen and snow covered. Bill and Kathy could not have been more helpful. Board games, drinks, and smores by the fire were our
favorite part. We are looking forward to a future stay.
